John ‘J.D.’ Dorian (Zach Braff)

In the series, Dr. John ‘J.D. Dorian is the narrator, as well as the main character of “Scrubs.” He is the one responsible for linking each episode with the next one.

J.D.’s character is known for day dreaming a lot. Whenever he does this, he moves his head to the back and then to the left, he looks blankly upwards.
He initially works at Sacred Heart under Dr. Perry Cox, the Chief Attending Physician. Dr. Cox often calls J.D. “Newbie” or different girls’ names. J.D. considers Cox not only his teacher, but also his friend. However, Cox always denies this. Secretly, Cox looks up to J.D. as a doctor and actually cares for him. J.D.’s best friend is Chris Turk, who is his roommate and so is always with him. Aside from Elliot, J.D. got involved in different romantic and sexual relationships with various women. One of these women is Kim Briggs.
