It seems that the actor wishes to prove that he is capable of more than just making the audience laugh. Faison has signed on to star in the upcoming science fiction thriller called Skyline.

Skyline was written by Liam O’Donnell and Scottie Thompson. Skyline’s plot is that the main character, played by Faison, and his best friend go to the West Coast to party the night away. Problems ensue the next morning when a supernatural force tries to swallow humanity. That’s about as different from Scrubs as you can possibly get.

In addition to working on Skyline, which has already started filming, Faison is also rumored to have gotten a role on a new CBS pilot called the Odds, in which he would play the lead role. The Odds is a police comedy that focuses on a lead homicide detective.

While everyone is thrilled by Faison’s good fortune, it does spell trouble for Scrubs fans. It’s bad enough that ABC hasn’t decided if they want to renew the quirky medical comedy or not. Even if ABC does pick up Scrubs for another season, life at Sacred Heart would be considerably duller without Faison’s portrayal of the lovable Dr. Turk to liven things up.

According to the Futon Critic, Scrubs fans can plan on watching the first of the final two episodes of Scrubs this Friday on March 10th. The episode is called Our Driving Issues, and it will air at 8pm. The season finale will air the following week on St. Patrick’s Day. The finale is called ‘Our Thanks’. ABC’s explanation for moving the show to the Wednesday night time slot was that they were hoping by putting it on the night that the network has always considered a comedy night, might boost ratings and make it possible to decide the shows future.

No one seems particularly optimistic about the shows chances for being picked up for another season. ABC won’t answer any questions, and the show creator, Bill Lawrence, has deleted Twitter tweets about the upcoming episodes.

Many of the shows fans and critics feel that the show has run its course and that it would have been better to let it die a natural death than to continue to fight for it’s survival. On the other hand, every other time the show has encountered hiccups and doubt it has managed to bounce back.

Other’s feel that despite the loss of lead actor, Zach Braff last season, and the potential loss of other actors, the show could still survive. For now all you can do is sit back, enjoy the two upcoming episodes and wait to see what ABC decides to do about the next season.

Sarah Chalke is just one of the ‘Scrubs’ stars who has agreed to shoot a pilot for this upcoming season. She is in the process of shooting a pilot for ABC called ‘Freshmen’. Judging from the reports, if you love Dr. Elliot Reed, you are going to love watching Sarah play Jane.

‘Freshmen’ focuses on the lives of three close friends who all happen to work for Congress. Sarah’s character, Jane, is a congresswoman. Before she won her district’s seat, Jane was the vice-president of a oil company that was worth billions. Despite her professional success, when it comes to affairs of the heart, Jane is a mess. She plunges head first into one disastrous relationship after another.

The executive producer for ‘Freshmen’ is Greg Malins, who is better known as the executive producer of How I Met Your Mother. Malins and Chalke have worked together once before.

Since Sarah Chalke’s character, Dr. Elliot Reed, has been a recurring character this season on ‘Scrubs’, her new role on Freshmen should not have any effect on ABC’s decision about whether or not they should pick up the medical comedy for a tenth season.

‘Freshmen’ is still in the production stages, so we are going to have to hold our breaths and hope that the pilot will air sometime next year.

The final two episodes of the ninth season of ‘Scrubs are scheduled to air on March 10, 2010 and March 17 2010, at 8pm on ABC.

Donald Faison, well known actor, predicted that another season pertaining to “Scrubs” would be a poignant and/ or heartrending time for everyone involved, including the viewers. For Faison, this is a job filled with realistic and pleasurable experiences.

Faison commented to a newspaper that he feels fortunate to be working in Hollywood, since there are few individuals doing so. He enjoys playing Turk, but has little choice in the matter, because if he was not employed as a part of the “Scrubs” cast, he would more than likely be unemployed.

When Faison took the lead role in (Med School), many aspects in his professional life changed, one being that he was not working with his best friend, Zach Braff.

The 35 year old New York actor felt that Turk’s life without J.D would take on a challenging twist.

The ABC comedy hired three new cast members to spur interest for its viewers. Faison can connect with this cast, due to his memories of when he was in” Scrubs”. Faison reiterates that when working as a new character in a series, it is an inspirational experience, because everyone is focused on the success of the show. They all have one goal in common – the show!

Russel Vaughn while Drew has to manage to his new position as the leader of the study group. Lucy is made the “Hell Week” leader.

ABC network, along with Steve McPherson, revealed that ‘Modern Family’ and ‘The Middle’ have been chosen to return to ABC networks.

‘Scrubs’ (Med School) has received both good and bad reviews, due to the situation of bringing 9 new characters into the series. This presents an atmosphere of instability, and makes the viewers indecisive as to their feelings toward the new characters.

There are 2 different views about ‘Scrubs’ (Med School), one being that the new series cannot compare to the original one, and the other being that the new characters will bring an invigorating atmosphere to the previous stale episodes.

Since the original episodes focused on J.D. and his group, the new will add a different environment as it dwells on the characters of Cole, Lucy, Denise, and Drew. This will be a change for the viewers and will help aide in the shows diversity in regard to different characters and/ or settings.

The fans of ‘Scrubs’ (Med School) are hoping for the return of this series to nest season’s schedule, however it helps that Steve McPherson of ABC is an avid supporter of the show.

Mc Pherson is forced to comply with the figures on the ratings of ‘Scrubs’ (Med School) and, due to their low numbers is pretty much compelled to withdraw the show form next season’s schedule. This creates disappointment for its fans.

Turk is given the responsibility of handling a lesbian couple while Drew wishes to take his relationship with Denise to the next level.

Since the show’s 8th finale airing set high expectations for ’Scrubs’, the viewers and/ or fans are anticipating the ultimate. ‘Scrubs’ is not only living up to its previous episodes, but surpassing them, and it is evident to see the reasons, especially when one takes into consideration the tidbit of information that Lawrence has so revealed.

The move to the Culver Studios is explained by Lawrence along with other details pertaining to the authenticity of the Sacred Heart Hospital, which is only depicted on a set. Although the scene looks lifelike on the screen, it is really an unfinished project, due to the lack of funds. Many of the rooms on the set are half finished, however these details are not seen by the viewers.

The primary set is new in addition to the hospital scenes. It is a large auditorium type facility where lectures are presented by John McGinley. Here he portrays a teacher lecturing his medical students. In reality, however, McGinley imagines these characters to be killers who are running around the premises of the hospital killing other characters. This seems to be a diversion for McGinley, so that he will not be bored.

There are new interns on the series Lucy, (Kerry Bishe), Cole,(dvar Franco), Drew, (Michael Mosley), and Eliza Coupe.

Turk and Dr. Cox are regular characters on “Scrubs” Med School, however the rest of the characters ‘fate is not known. However, Zach Braff will be appearing on the series for at least 6 episodes.

Lawrence also points out that Ken Jenkins appears on the show frequently, as does Sarah Chalke. There are many changes in store for ‘Scrubs’ which should create interest for this show.

In this episode, we find that Dr. Cox sets his sights too high and loses trust in Drew, who was previously his #1. JD steps in to guide his mentor in this situation. Lucy also decides that she desires a new mentor. She asks Denise who is reluctant to perform the duty. The pair then work together on a case involving a very ill woman and her young son.

Our Role Models follows the tradition of other Scrubs episodes including entertaining subplots with other diversity thrown in the mix.

Drew and Lucy are brought to our focus as we are being introduced to their characters among the other new Med students. Drew proves himself to be a likeable character and a good med student right away but Dr. Cox’s expectations run high and he becomes easily disappointed. Turk prods JD to step in and rescue the situation. Lucy comes to believe that JD would not make a good mentor for her since she concludes that Dr. Cox hates her. She looks to Denise to mentor her and after prodding Denise, she agrees to be her mentor albeit reluctantly.

Cole seems to spend all of his time in Lucy’s bed, accomplishing nothing but wasted space in the episode. His character proves even more strangely by providing random threats. The other new med students remain in the background while Dr. Cox throws some insults their way.

Our Role Models proves itself to be an entertaining episode with enjoyable storylines unfolding. It could prove to be a good year for the show as we are still wondering if it is the last or perhaps a whole new start. Thanks for reading!
