Excited Michael Mosley AKA # 1, Gives insight into new Season of “Scrubs” and Drew’s Development

Submitted on December 28, 2009 No Comment

Already airing in its ninth season, Scrubs lends itself to branching into new areas. As we go along for the ride we are introduced to several new comers piloting the way. Among the fresh new faces is Michael Mosley, who plays the role of the med student with humor that contests that of Dr. Cox’s.

Mosely said he’s excited about how Drew Suffin developed in the ninth season of Scrubs. From having been in jail and lived in a yurt, he displayed so many eccentricities that enveloped the audience and left them wanting to know more about him. Seeing Drew get bumbling with Denise (Eliza Coupe) also had the audience hanging to see what happens.

“You’ll have learned more about Drew as the series progressed,” the Scrubs star told /GN. “[Y]ou’ll have found out all kinds of crazy things. He had lived in a yurt in Alaska for a spell. Apparently he was engaged to be married at one point.”

While we weren’t expecting to watch Drew’s character get married in that season, Mosely had talked about how his character’s relationship evolves with Denise. “We had continued to be weird and creepy and awkward together. And it was just going to get more and more bizarre. It has been a strangely bizarre relationship,” the actor described.

Living up to the award-winning legacy that Scrubs has earned, the show proves to have tapped into the springs of immortality. We may never know what secret writing style they possess, but as long as the series’ crew continues bringing in entertaining characters, we are still watching.

Even Michael Mosley had to give honor to the people that work out of the spotlight. “I can’t say enough about these writers,” he had said. “They really put a wonderful tapestry together here, of all these characters and archetypes, and it’s just been a pleasure to walk in these shoes for the past couple months.”

Similar to the Scrubs [Med School] fans, this 31-year old developing star was excited about the rest of the season and hopefully more years to come. “I definitely have looked forward to see how the development all played out,” exclaimed Mosley. “Everybody just had incredible peaks and valleys throughout the thirteen episodes. The individuals were really fleshed out. Has been very exciting.”
